Playstation uses a hardware chip called a cell processor chip which is built with a 64 bit IBM processor and eight synergistic processing units. The new partnership between Sony and Netflix would give its customers the ability to stream movies at no extra cost. Jack Tretton, the chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment America states that PS3 is more than gaming device. Some of the advantages of using PS3 to stream movies from Netflix are that it’s going to be free unlike Xbox that charges fifty dollars a year.
